The Medusa Project

Fostering Connective Infrastructure for Cross-Movement Organizing

FROM RESILIENCE TO RENEWAL

Rights and justice activists around the world do not just want to weather the rapidly changing context confronting them but are looking for ways to renew and reimagine what is possible. The Medusa Project is working to co-create the connective infrastructure that builds from the margins and intersections to help them do just that.

PROJECT GOALS AND PLANS

The Medusa Project is working to foster generative thinking, experimentation, and connections that allow movements to function, collaborate, and transform, acting as a bridge during this moment of systemic change. We are engaging in four priority areas:

Connecting Across Difference

Spaces where activists from all parts of the human rights ecosystem can build the trust and relationships that sustain organizing beyond individual projects, organizations, or campaigns.

Creating Conditions for Exploration

Room to test new ideas, share what's working across spaces and generations, and take risks without being locked into rigid outcomes.

Sustaining People and Knowledge

Networks and mentorship that keep people engaged and knowledge alive, especially through transition.

Pooling Resources for Renewal

Shared funding models, new forms of fiscal sponsorship, and collective back-office support that make it easier for diverse kinds of organizing to get resourced.
